Minsk, Belarus – 17 September 2013
UniversalTalent International (“UTI”), the Beverly Hills, California global Talent and Management Agency, announced the launch of an international school for the training of young screen talents both in the USA and in Belarus as an innovative cultural exchange between the two nations.
In the first-ever international educational joint project between the Republic of Belarus and the United States, the new screen acting school, to be named BelStar, will offer the opportunity for Belarusian acting students to study in Hollywood, and for American film acting students to study in the Belarus capital of Minsk.
“Today we are very pleased at UTI to announce the realization of our plan to extoll the culture and arts of Belarus by the introduction of an international school for film studies, crossing a bridge between Hollywood and Minsk,” stated UTI’s CEO Gary Brant. Brant continued,”In this historic moment, UTI assumes a leadership position in the world of international, cooperative film productions”.
The two-year program will feature one year in the native land of each student, and in the second year each student will travel and experience the culture of their new host country. The innovative program will also allow Belarusian students a unique opportunity to study film making and acting taught by native American teachers working in the film industry in Hollywood, for the first time in the history of the Republic of Belarus. All classes will be taught to Belarusian students of BelStar in the English language, preparing them for careers in Hollywood.
