Beverly Hills, California – 13 July 2013
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
UniversalTalent International (“UTI”), the Beverly Hills, California global Talent and Management Agency, announced today it had begun development of its plan to open a state of the art film production studio in Culver City, California, the home of giant Sony/MGM Studios (now known as Sony Pictures) and the historic Culver Studios where iconic films such as “Gone With The Wind” and Orson Welles’ “Citizen Kane” were made between 1939 and 1941. UTI Pictures – the official title of the new studio – is envisioned by UTI’s Founder and CEO Gary Brant as “the next step in our mission to take Hollywood by storm, and provide a future home for our film artists signed by UTI to have exciting careers in directing, producing, screenwriting and acting”.
Brant continued, “We see Culver City as the ideal location to build UTI Pictures and offer our clients advanced technologies, hands on support and production services, while establishing Culver City as an attractive and convenient film production center in its own right, easily and directly accessible from Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Santa Monica where many of our clients are situated,” Brant concluded, “Culver City has a rich history in the film industry, from the iconic Hal Roach Studios to becoming the headquarters for two of television’s brightest stars, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz of Desilu Productions. We would like to build on Culver City’s sterling record of being “the other Hollywood”, and facilitate our clients’ slates of productions through our new studio”.
